Water Slide Pictures

All of the kids loved the water slide. Hope took Elijah, Malaina and Cassidy down. Cassidy and Elijah liked it much more than Malaina. I took Skylyn down, but I don't think she was a big fan. Madison's face will tell you that she loved it!

Hopey's pool

I have no idea what she was doing here, maybe she saw a tornado?

Our Day with Maddie

Maddie is quite the animal lover. Grace must sense that because she doesn't let just anyone pick her up, ask Hope!

This is Skylyn's way of giving hugs. She just leans her head on whatever you tell her to hug. It is pretty cute.
Up to no good. Sky is waiting for me to turn around so she can go through all of Madison's small pieces. She had already dumped out all of Madison's Lite Brite pieces.
Malaina probably just said, "I'm a little tired."

Tornado Drill

On the way home from Chick-Fil-A today we heard a warning for a tornado. When we got home Madison took the opportunity to teach the girls what to do if a tornado hits. This was Skylyn's take on it...

A Paper Towel Roll

To most of you it is just a paper towel roll, but to Skylyn it was 20 minutes of entertainment. To Marty, Malaina and I it was 20 minutes to regain our sanity from Skylyn crying non-stop the previous half hour.

No More Doctors!!!

Skylyn woke up and did not have a fever! She is back to her spunky self. We took her to the doctor and her white blood cell count was normal (10,000). Her blood and urine came back with no bacteria so it was just a bad virus. We are so happy that she is healthy and that she doesn't have to be a baby pin cushion anymore.

Sky Baby is Eating!!! I know she is saying "Cheeeeese"

Malaina doing the Super Why song/dance for the crowd. She is quite the performer.
This may be illegal?!

Update

We headed back to the pediatrician's office this morning. Skylyn had a 102.2 fever. Malaina stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's to get spoiled while Skylyn got another shot of roseferin. Poor Skylyn would cry as soon as the nurse or doctor entered the room. Daddy got the pleasure of holding her down today for her shot so that Mommy wasn't always the bad guy. We head back tomorrow for possibly another shot and hopefully they will have blood work back with some sort of answer. The good news is that she is in much better spirits. She may not feel well, but she is still super cute!

No pictures and No Ear Infection

Skylyn woke up with a 104 fever this morning. She had some motrin and we headed to her pediatrician. They found no sign of an ear infection so we were back to square one. Poor Baby Sky had a finger prick to test her blood count. Her blood count was high so then we were back to searching as to why she is getting this fever. She had a catheter to check for a urinary tract infection and blood taken from her foot to test for other viruses. No urinary tract infection and it takes 24-48 hours to know the result of her blood. She got her last shot -- medicine that is super strong and should knock out a virus. We head back to the doctor tomorrow.

Madison was a great big cousin and helped with Malaina at the doctors. We were there for two hours. She kept saying how bad she felt for Skylyn. I felt awful for my baby as well, but I just want her to feel better.

First Lollipop and First trip to the Hospital

Skylyn loved her first lollipop. She was mad when it was gone so I caved and gave her another one. A few minutes after her second one was gone I was holding her and she went limp. I was so scared I could not get her to respond to me. I grabbed her out of the pool got my stuff, called the doctor and headed to the ER. Thank goodness Aunt B took Malaina, Madison and Cassidy.

Skylyn had a febrile seizure, which is a seizure due to a quickly rising fever. She had a 103.3 fever and the fever was caused by her having a double ear infection. Febrile seizures do not cause any long-term effects and Sky is doing fine now. It was so scary and I hope no one has to go through that.

Skylyn started perking up at the hospital and was getting mad at Daddy for not giving her enough Cheerios at a time. It was so funny and we were so happy to see her getting back to her old self.

The girls at Aunt B's house. I think she kept them content by giving them lollipops and letting them watch television. They loved every minute of it!

Cassidy is back

I could tell both girls missed each other. They were having conversations to catch each other up. Cassidy talked about her big bed and Malaina about the Mudcats game. They were so cute to watch. Madison was a huge help as always. She does a great job entertaining the girls and the girls love her.
