Bath time

I was in the living room with Malaina and Skylyn took it upon herself to give her cabbage patch kid a bath. She is pretty proud of herself. I told her that she couldn't give her baby a bath, but had to take a picture because it was pretty funny. She also has figured out that she can take the diaper off of her baby. She kept saying that her baby pooped.

I took the baby to dry off in the kitchen and when I came back our bathroom was completely covered in water. She turned the faucet on full blast then covered it with her hands. I could not believe the amount of water all over the walls, sink, floor and toilet. I told her no more bathroom and then went on to clean up the mess. I am not thrilled that Skylyn can now open doors. I may have to baby proof the bathroom door.

More Zoo pictures

If there is a bar that Skylyn can reach... she will hang from it. She belongs with the monkeys.
One of Malaina's favorite animals at the zoo. She is going to tell Mushu about all of the "big" cats that we saw. She also liked the polar bear and sea lions.

Zoo

We made the 2-hour trip to the zoo today. I have no idea how we are going to make the 10 hour trip to NY. Malaina was great, but this first picture pretty much sums up Sky...

Malaina being a flamingo

Skylyn loved all the animals (especially the birds). She did not like having to leave the animals or sitting in her stroller. She also did not like walking; therefore I carried her 3/4 of the time (it is about 5 miles). Malaina did a great job walking and when she got tired she sat in the stroller. Do you see a pattern here? Malaina keeps saying how much she liked the zoo.

Ta Da

Skylyn collecting her award and ribbon. She is such an all star and ran right up there.

Skylyn graduated from Gymnastics

Skylyn loves to go to "I play" as she calls it. TT and Maddie came today to watch her class and watch her get her award. Here she is on the swing. She loves it. I think she could fall asleep in it.

Kind of blurry but here is Madison, Skylyn and Malaina

I signed Malaina up for gymnastics today. I am pretty sure she is going to be more excited to wear her gymnastics outfit than the actual gymnastics.

Tye Dye girls

Malaina made her own tye-dye shirt at preschool. I also brought one in for them to make Skylyn. They turned out so cute!

Weekend Update

My Mom and I hit up some yard sales this weekend. Marty thinks I created a monster, haha! It is so fun though and it is nice to have some adult time. We got some good stuff. My Mom got a table that I painted and then I was inspired to paint our futon. It looks so much better! I think this week I will paint Madison's new bed that Grandpa is building. I love a project, but I doubt Grandpa loves me doing projects because they always involve him in some way.

Tomorrow is Malaina's last day of preschool :( She will miss her friends, but I am sure we will have lots play dates.

Some cute stories...

Skylyn can be a total mess at times, but she is always cute. She will sometimes say stuff that cracks me up like out of the blue...saying, "Papa has big truck" or calling Grandma, "Maina" (which is what she calls Malaina) or on the way to TT's saying, "I TT's buddy." The other night I was cracking up because I thought she pooped so I asked her, "Sky did you poop?" and she responded, "No, I pass gas." It was hilarious. I tried to get her to say it on video, but of course she wouldn't do it. I said, "Sky did you poop" and she just said, "No." I asked her, "What did you do?" and she just said, "I don't know." Anytime she passes gas now I have to ask her if she pooped and she will always say, "No, I pass gas." It never gets old and she says it with the cutest expression.

Malaina impressed me tonight...we were doing Madison's old preschool cards (I have no idea where she found them) and you had to find two of the same words. I asked her what the words said and she said, "pig." I was shocked that she knew what it said. I guess I underestimated how smart she is.

Jammin' to the i-"pad"

I apologize to all of my blog stalkers for being a blog slacker. Here are some pictures from tonight while the girls were listening to Marty's i"pad" as Malaina calls it.

First song...Kanye West's, "Throw your hands up in the sky." Skylyn cannot possibly listen to this song without putting her hands in the air. She likes to listen to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" first then Kanye. She is a girl who knows what she likes and you better make sure you know what she likes too!

The girls have been having fun playing outside in the afternoons. They both like to play in the water, but hate for their clothes to be wet. Malaina insists on putting on a new dress once she is wet and Skylyn just strips down to her diaper (which is why Sky is only wearing a diaper in these pictures). I took Skylyn to a different gymnastics today because they have free play on Fridays (by free, I mean pay $5 and run around and play). She found the water fountain, got herself wet and started stripping down to her diaper. She doesn't quite understand that she can only just wear a diaper at home.
Malaina is quickly approaching her last day of her second year of preschool. I will have a conference with her teacher on Monday and I am sure it will go well. She is a great little student. I have been trying to plan out different activities for us to do this summer while she isn't at school.
